ALS can strike anyone, anywhere, anytime and no one knows why. It is always fatal and there are currently no drugs to slow, stop, or end it. A cure has to be found for this horrific disease!!! My one true inspiration for what I do every day is my mother, Melba Martin who was diagnosed in November 2009 and lost her battle on July 2, 2010. Losing my mother/best friend was the most devastating thing I have ever witnessed!! When she passed, something in me clicked and I knew that my mission for the rest of my life would be to raise awareness & funds for ALS as well as help any & all PALS in any way I could.
